Behind the gates of Sivan Arul Illam is more than just a shelter. It is a home filled with warmth, care, and the chance to begin again. Many children arrive here carrying stories of hardship, uncertainty, or loss. But once they step into the Illam, a new journey begins.

When heavy floods devastated Jaffna, families were left struggling for basic necessities. Our team quickly mobilized, distributing dry rations in Ponnalai to ensure that affected families had food and essentials during this difficult time. The response was not just about providing aid but about showing solidarity and care when it was needed most.

At Sivan Arul Foundation, we believe that cultural heritage is just as important as education and skill development. Art and music are not only forms of expression but also powerful ways to connect with traditions, build confidence, and foster a sense of identity among children.

2019-2020 posed many challenges for the Sivan Arul Foundation due to the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters such as cyclones and floods, all of which made our relief work more challenging than previous years.
